This can be slightly changed to suit our contest as success/happiness is to be measured not so much by the amount that one has put on construction of a house as by the obstacles but one has overcome in one's house" which can be achieved when proper Vaastu is followed. Construction of a house or any building at vile places breeds grievances and frustration and results in lack of interest in life. Hence we are faced with the question-"What is to be done by a person who desires to build a house?" The obvious reply would be to construct the house according to Vaastu and to construct the house at his Zenith Place
When we construct/Purchase (buy) a house the following points should be kept in mind.

• Don't buy a Plot / house of Ishan wound.
• Don't buy a Plot/Site which has drainage Pits at south, south West and West. If it becomes inevitable, then fill the Pits immediately.
• Don't buy a Plot having wound at East or North Side.
• It is not auspicious if a place is developed at East side and South East corner and North of North West corner and extension or Southside of South West and West side of South West corner.
• The worst places are the places which have peaks or heightened at Ishan, North and East sides and slopes at South, West and North West side.
• If North side of North West corner is extended it is to be omitted (avoided).
• Play grounds at South, West or South West corner and large buildings at East, North and Ishan are to be avoided.
• It is not advisable to go for block on Agneya side or South East block.
